Product Introduction

Went to a seminar yesterday held by a local AV company in one of the hotels here. The product is about a conferencing system which is fairly new in the market in Malaysia and the seminar was more about hard selling this product to the end-users, consultants, rental companies and dealers. The seminar was quite boring and difficult to understand as the speakers were from Germany and China respectively, both of which are working for the manufacturer from China. The accents were so thick you can cut it with a knife. The german guy had better pronunciation than the China lady. They should have gotten a professional presenter as this would have made it more interesting and would have made a better impact on the seminar. Instead there the droning sound of the german and the chinese which I am sure put half the seminar attendees to sleep within the first half hour and it was a whole day seminar! There was also no technical evaluation on why the product is much better than it's competitors except what was claimed by the manufacturer. Anyway the thing that saved the day I think was the fairly good food that was served through the day. At least no skimping on that part.
